PUPPY CLASS
A basic obedience course designed for puppies 2-6 months old. It stresses socialization and teaches basic obedience commands (come, sit, down, stand, stay and heel). Its goal is to teach the owner and dog how to work together, preferably before behavior problems start.
BEGINNER CLASS
A basic obedience course for dogs over six months of age. It teaches the same basic commands as the Puppy Class, but puts more emphasis on controlling what is often a large or unruly older dog and correcting bad habits that are already in place. The goal is to modify behavior and produce a well-mannered companion.
INTERMEDIATE CLASS
A second level course for graduates of our Puppy or Beginner Classes, or comparable programs elsewhere. It emphasizes control under more demanding conditions, adds in more advanced exercises (Stand for Exam, Finish) and begins off-leash work. It is appropriate preparation for CD level showing, but there is no requirement that you plan to show your dog.
INTRODUCTORY AGILITY CLASS
For dogs who have completed the Intermediate Class and are under acceptable control. It utilizes most of the obstacles found in a standard
agility course and provides a fun and interesting variation on obedience. The dogs learn new skills, work on athleticism and coordination, and develop confidence.
INTERMEDIATE AGILITY CLASS
For dogs who have completed an Intermediate Obedience Class and an Introductory Agility Class. This class utilizes additional and more challenging obstacles, which are combined to teach the
techniques necessary to run a course. Our goal is to teach the dogs and their owners the basic skills for competition. This is our most fun, challenging and high energy class - a treat for everyone!
